Deadline: Entries must reach the ASGA office no later than 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16th, 2022 OR when the field has filled
Eligibility: Entries are open to male and female golfers who will not reach their 19th birthday by June 28, 2022 or entered college and who are bonafide residents of the State of Arkansas, and upon approval by the ASGA, non-residents whose home course is located in Arkansas. All participants must be ASGA Junior Members and field limited to 60 boys and 30 girls.
Entry Fee: $160 includes two rounds of championship golf, range balls, lunch after both rounds and a registration gift.
Practice Round: Call the Big Creek Golf & CC pro-shop at (870)729-1382 to schedule a practice round.
Spectator Carts: All carts available will be rented out on a first come, first serve basis for the price of $35.
Handicap Requirements: Boy’s Ages 12 & 13 – 18.0 or less / Ages 14 – 18 - 11.0 or less. Girl’s Ages 12-18 – 18.0 or less
Format: – 18 holes each day – 36 holes total. Ages 12 & 13 will comprise the Young Junior Boys Division and will determine the Overall Young Junior Champions. The low BOY and low GIRL will be the Arkansas Junior Amateur Champions.
Inclement weather policy: The ASGA reserves the right to reduce the number holes of the competition, in the event of inclement weather.
Yardages:
* Boys Ages 12-13 will play the course at approximately 5,800 Yards (GOLD)
* Boys Ages 14-18 will play the course at approximately 6,700 Yards (BLUE)
* Girls 12-18 will play the course around 5,800 Yards (GOLD)
Trophies and Awards: The Boy’s medalists ages 14-18 will receive custody of Walter Davis Trophy for ensuing year. The Girl’smedalist ages 12-18 will receive custody of the Lou Miller Trophy for ensuing year. Trophies to winner, runner-up and third place for Boys and Girls 14-18 & Boys 12-13. Ties: for 1st in any division will have an immediate playoff.
Caddies will not be allowed during this Championship.
Notah Begay National Championship Qualifying Information:
The Notah Begay III Jr. Golf National Championship Series (NB3 JGNC) is a 2-stage qualifying process culminating in a 54-hole National Championship that will air on Golf Channel during a 2-hour broadcast. The Series is open to all players. In 2022, players who qualify through the available qualifying spots below will move onto the NB3 Tennessee Regional Qualifier at Orgill Park Golf Course (Girls Only) on September 10-11, 2022 and the NB3 Mississippi Regional Qualifier at Dancing Rabbit Golf Course (Boys Only) on September 10-11, 2022.
The NB3 JGNC will offer the following Qualifying Spots by Division into their NB3 Tennessee / Mississippi Regional Qualifier:
Boys & Girls 14-18: (Top-5 in Each Division)
*Spots are subject to change based on field size within each Division*
*A player’s age division is determined by their age on May 1st. For example, if a player turns 14 in July of 2022, they will compete in the 12-13 Division throughout the entirety of the NB3 JGNC Series even though they may be 14 during a Local or Regional Qualifier. If a player turns 14 before May 1st of 2022, then the player will compete in the 14-15 Division throughout the entirety of the NB3 JGNC Series. If your birthdate falls on May 1st and you turn 14, you will play in the 14-15 division (This age cutoff applies for all Divisions).
